This bundle includes your copy of How to Work with Your Favorite Bands, all four presets (the black and white pack and color pack), and one mentoring session.
THE GUIDE: How to Work with Your Favorite Bands is your comprehensive guide to getting where you want to go with your music photography career. Whether you want to tour with bands or work for a magazine or get in with a label, this guide will give you practical steps to help you achieve your goals. No matter if you’re just beginning your career or you’re already established, How to Work with Your Favorite Bands will help you reach that next milestone and catapult you to being the photographer you want to be. Jonathan Kemp draws on his extensive touring career with artists like Needtobreathe, Silent Planet, Against The Current, and many more to give you the tools you need to be the best photographer you can be.
The guide covers everything from show photography to etiquette to how to go on tour to workflow to Lightroom and travel tips, as well as breaking down the gear he uses every day.
THE PRESETS: This presets pack includes both Lightroom preset packs, the black and white pack with two presets and the color pack with two presets. The first black and white preset will give your photos a moodier look, bringing greater contrast between the blacks and whites in your image. The second black and white preset is a creamier black and white to give your images that perfectly smooth finish. The first color preset is my everyday preset that I use for portrait, candid, and live photos to give them a subtle color correction that make the subjects in my photos pop. The second color preset is one specifically designed for those nasty purple lights. If you’ve ever shot a show you know how frustrating it can be to bring back skin tones from purple lights, but as you’ll see with in the example photos, with this preset you’ll be able to bring back skin tones with ease.
THE MENTORING SESSION: Most of what I’ve learned about photography has been through sitting down with other photographers and picking their brains, asking them how and why they do things. I’m a firm believer that you can learn something from everyone, so I like to ask a lot of questions and observe how other people do their jobs. I love sharing all the knowledge I’ve learned over the years, so I would love to talk with you face-to-face and go deeper than How to Work with Your Favorite Bands can go by personalizing our session to your needs. Ask me anything and everything you want to know.
Each mentoring session is one hour, but you can also purchase additional hours if you would like. Once your purchase goes through I will follow up with you via email to figure out a good time for us to chat and we can discuss adding additional time if you would like!
