Phinehas February For Today Tour 2016

This was by far the longest tour I’ve ever done – not in terms of length, but in how it felt. We encountered many weather drastic changes, including some of the worst weather I’ve ever been in (-40 with windchill in Montreal). We all got sick at some point on the tour. We had many long, overnight drives. It was a grueling tour to say the least. With that said, this was also one of the most fun tours I’ve been a part of so far. I always love being out with Phinehas and the fact that For Today was headlining made it that much better. The guys in Vanna and Like Moths To Flames were super cool as well. All the bands were incredible to watch every night, and to say I’m bummed at not being able to see […]

Silent Planet in Studio January 2016

I’ve spent more time with the Silent Planet crew than literally any other humans over the last year. In 2015 we did six and a half tours together (half because I did one tour with Phinehas that they were also on a portion of). I love these guys so much. They’re some of my best friends and brothers, which is why I was excited to be able to fly up to New Jersey while they were in the studio in January recording their sophomore record. I got to spend four days with the guys, hanging out and taking photos while they recorded and generally tried not to go insane from being stuck in a studio for a month in freezing New Jersey. Their record is by far my most anticipated of the year and I cannot wait for them to […]

My Favorite Moments of 2015

This year has been the wildest year of my life. Several times a week I think back on all the experiences I’ve had and honestly can’t believe it. I’ve seen places I never thought I would and had the opportunity to travel all over the Americas and Europe with some of my best friends, doing what I love. There have been a lot of highs and a lot of lows in 2015. One of the defining moments of this year for me came in August when I was carjacked at gunpoint and lost all of my gear. I was distraught. Everything I had worked hard to acquire to do my job was just gone in one instance and I had no way of making the money I needed to purchase the gear again, because my source of income was tied […]

Silent Planet Europe Tour 2015

I’m not sure I can think of a better way to close out 2015 than the way I started – back out on the road with the Silent Planet boys, albeit on another continent. This was by far one of the most memorable tours I was a part of this year. Every day was an adventure – whether it be the muffler falling off our van, fighting off flea-infested dogs in the Slovakian apartment we were staying in, or just exploring whatever city we happened to be in that day. So many things happened on this tour that I thought I’d share a little bit to go along with the photos below. Hope you enjoy experiencing what we experienced! November 29 – Liege, BE Day one was a whirlwind of flying into Brussels, taking a train to pick up our […]

Forevermore ‘The Question’ 10 Year Ann...

I guess it only seemed fitting to do a tour with Forevermore after doing tours with practically every other Solid State Records band this year. (I think the only active SS band I didn’t shoot this year was Demon Hunter.) The opportunity to tour with these boys came in November on the east coast run of Emery’s The Question 10 Year Anniversary Tour. As anyone on this tour can attest to, I fell asleep in almost every imaginable place over the course of the first few days of this run. After having been on the road for over a month and a half already, with only two off days, I was quite exhausted. So, the first little bit of this tour is somewhat of a blur for me, but overall the tour was a good time hanging with some good […]

‘Wake’ Release Tour Recap || For Today...

Touring with Silent Planet always feels like being with family, but the Wake Tour felt even more like that because of all the other bands on this tour. In one way or another I’ve gotten to know the guys in For Today, Fit For A King, Gideon, and Phinehas throughout this year. So, getting to do a tour with all of them together was a real treat. I captured plenty of moments throughout the tour of each of the guys in these bands, which is why I thought I’d share these photos as well, instead of having them just sitting on my external hard drives. This was probably my favorite tour of 2015, and out of it came what are some of my favorite photos of the year. I hope you enjoy looking through all of them, and if you’d also […]

Silent Planet ‘Wake’ Release Tour Reca...

It’s not often you get to do a tour with a bunch of your best friends, which is why I’m extremely grateful to have been on For Today’s Wake release tour. Not only was it good to be back out with the Silent Planet boys, but it was also great to be back on a tour with some of my favorite people in For Today, Fit For A King, Gideon, and Phinehas. I’ve spent a lot of time with most of these guys throughout 2015, so this tour felt like one big family reunion. The last month of this tour has given me some of my favorite memories. I knew going into the tour it was going to go by very quickly, but I don’t think I anticipated it going by as quickly as it did. This tour took me to so […]

‘O God The Aftermath’ Tour Recap || No...

It’s been about a week since I got off Norma Jean’s 10 year anniversary tour for O God the Aftermath, and it still feels so surreal. It was cool to see such variety on a tour, as well as to see everyone become friends so quickly. Getting to watch all these bands every night was a blast and I’m stoked have built friendships with everyone on this tour. The photographs I got on this tour are some of my favorites from this year so far. I posted all my work with The Ongoing Concept right after I flew out from the tour, but I thought I’d post pictures from all the other bands as well. It seemed like a waste just to have them sitting on my laptop, ya feel? At the end you’ll find a portrait of everyone on the […]

The Ongoing Concept ‘OGTA’ Anniversary...

Tours seem to go by so quickly that it’s not usually until afterwards that I’m able to reflect on all the crazy things I’ve been given the opportunity to do and be a part of. The opportunity to go out with The Ongoing Concept for the first couple weeks of Norma Jean’s 10 year anniversary tour for O God the Aftermath was a pretty last minute thing. I knew going into it that everything about this tour was going to be overwhelming – from touring with guys I had never met to being able to see Norma Jean play an iconic record from to back every night to seeing two legends of the music world (Josh Scogin and Spencer Chamberlain) play in their new bands every night. So, with that in mind, I made sure to slow down over the course […]

Phinehas ‘Till The End’ Release Tour 2...

The time leading up to an album release and then the week of release are crucial times for bands. For this reason I was stoked to be a part of Phinehas’ release tour for their new record, Till The End. I loved feeding off the added pressure of giving them solid content to hype up the record. The tour saw us exploring much of the midwest, as well as some of Canada and the northeast with Silent Planet and Darkness Divided over about a three and a half week time period. I had a blast on this tour and really enjoyed being with the Phinehas boys for almost month. I can’t thank them enough for entrusting me with their media during such a crucial point in their career. If you haven’t checked out Till The End yet, make sure you do so. It’s quite an incredible piece of […]
